In 1973 we were founded as the first legal organization in the United States dedicated to advancing the civil rights of LGBTQ+ people and everyone living with HIV. For more than 50 years, we’ve been fighting for our community — demanding the equality we deserve.
We won cases to secure the freedom to love, the freedom to marry, the freedom to learn, the freedom to work, the freedom to serve.
But the fight isn’t over. And the progress we’ve made isn’t guaranteed.
Every day, our attorneys stand up in court — as the last line of defense between real people and real harm. And we’ll never stop.
